End the Padron Family's Nightmare

Donation protected
It started out as a night of celebration. The celebration of a young woman as she transitions from childhood to adulthood Formerly known as a quinceañera. We left the party early to take home my girlfriends grandfather who was already very tired. It wasn’t even 10 minutes after dropping off my girlfriend Jennifer and her grandfather that I heard the fire alarms ringing and saw the smoke from my girlfriends room seeping out her window. I immediately jumped out my car and entered the apartment home as I ran down the hallway I was met with a startling sight of what appeared to be a small fire devouring the grandfathers backpack. I instantly ran to the kitchen to grab a big container and fill it with water while my girlfriend went for the fire extinguishers nearby. Meanwhile I filled the container with a sufficient amount of water and ran to the room thinking i could put out the flames but as I entered Jennifer’s room the carpet the bed and the television cabinet was engulfed in flames.  I froze at the sight for a split second... I soon snapped out of the terror that froze my body and came back to mobility then tossed the water into the fire only to be stripped of oxygen as the smoke struck me ferociously. I gasped for air and realized then that water wasn’t going to help the situation so I quickly grabbed my girlfriends sisters, her pet dogs, her grandfather and escorted them out of the home quickly.  Jennifer then arrived moments later with some of her neighbors nearby bringing with them fire extinguishers I felt relieved at the sight of the help that arrived to put out the flames. The smoke began to creep its way into our lungs it quickly became extremely toxic to be in the home after the first fire extinguisher was used so we tried other methods to put out the flame by spraying the room from the burning bedroom window.  A total of Eight fire extinguishers were used in attempt to put out the scorching fire and one by one as they ran empty the flame would not die it kept coming back far worse as it torched the textbooks the television the bed all the clothing and everything the flame came in contact with. As the last fire extinguisher ran out the bright burning flame looked us dead in our eyes as it continuously grew and spread all around the bedroom. We were all left in fear of the worst for the apartment complex a place the Padron family called home for over 17 years we pummeled into despair and all seemed bleak to stop the deadly spread. But all was not lost because soon after the fire department and police department showed up and our hope was restored. I am thankful for the bravery of all the neighbors and the local fire and police department for their bravery and care directed towards myself, the kind people of the apartment units and my second family the Padron family. An investigation has been launched to understand what caused the fire but as of now Jennifer and her family have no home to stay in until the investigation is over the apartment manager will not provide the Padron family with another apartment. I am reaching out to my community my friends my family and all those Reading to please help me end The Padron Family’s nightmare and restore their lives back to the way it once was before the fire took their home away from them. Anything and everything helps Please and thank you.
