Relief for the Reis Family...
From Sylvia--I cannot even begin to express my deepest gratitude in behalf of my family and most especially my husband. We are overwhelmed at the incredible kindness, love, prayers, and outpouring support in ALL of the many countless ways it has been shown. Your outstretched arms bound together are literally carrying us along hour by hour, and day by day. I am happy to report that while this journey will be long, we are moving forward with positive determination and strength. Kahale is now very medically stable, and today after only two weeks and one day, he was transferred from Swedish Medical Center to Craig Rehabilitation Hospital where he will begin acute rehab therapy for 6 weeks. While he is still not able to feel anything on his right side, and has severe language impairment, this place will strive with him to help him make the most improvement possible by giving him the tools to do so. Afterwards, we will continue on with outpatient rehab which will most likely be in Grand Junction. Tonight on the phone one of our precious children cried out, wondering how our lives would ever be the same. I tried to console her in her grief, and yet in my next breath I resolved, "sweetheart, I promise you that even though things will never be the same, I know that they will be better." This trial will make us better dear friends, for we know with all of our hearts that with God, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!! Please accept our most humble gratitude. We love you all so much!
9/30/14 We have been praying for Kahale and family. Also, wondering how he is progressing.
Thank you to everyone!! This is absolutely amazing!! I just love to see the love and support that you have shown this family! I can definitely say Sylvia is deeply greatful for all of you! Thanks again!!
