Emergency vet bills for Harry

Harry Houdini is a 5 year old Springer Spaniel who is battling an as-yet unknown abscess causing "thing".  We adopted him 18 months ago and he's a very loving sweet boy who is missing one eye and has limited vision in the other due to bad breeding and a genetic condition.  Now he's been fighting this mystery illness for the past month.  He's had two abscesses develop on his neck, been through two surgeries, seen the vet countless times, still has stitches in place from the last surgery and thus far his bills are at the $2,000 mark, for which we’ve been using CareCredit.   Despite Dr. Ben's best efforts we can't lick the problem and now have to have a CT scan done which will likely be followed by more surgery if the specialist can pinpoint what is causing the abscesses.  The CT alone is $2,000 and surgery - if needed - is expected to cost about the same. Lots of testing has been done already and we are relatively sure it isn't cancer or something like this, it responds to antibiotics (strong ones) but isn't being killed off by them.  Now he has open sores from the first surgery that won't close and continue to weep and ooze - which tell us something is still in there that needs to come out.

If anyone wants to see verification of his vet bills, please ask and I will share them with you.  We are middle class, and can normally care for our dogs (we have another rescue Springer) but this HUGE expense has just totally strapped us and is daunting to say the least.  Thank you for caring, sharing and, if you can, helping.  It is greatly appreciated.
