Emergency Support for Stephenie and Russell

Donation protected
Updated: 1/29/19
Thank you to all who have donated and shared already. These funds made it possible for Russell to be there for the urgent delivery of our precious Raegen Lee... She is here now and so far doing well she was born 1/26/19 @ 12:27 pm and she weighed a very tiny 2lbs 1oz and is only 13.75 inches long..... She is considered not just a preemie, but a micro center preemie and this is going to be a long road ahead of trips to get Russell over to Spokane to spend time with her and Stephenie, and of course a long time of Stephenie being away from home so that she can be close to Raegen while Russell is home working. Please if you are able to donate we are so appreciative of you doing so we may not always know when we need to make an urgent trip over there and we may not have the means to do it on our own. This really had helped relieve the extra stress if trying to figure out how to make that happen like Friday night when we were told we needed to get over there. She may be here now but now we need these funds more than ever to be with her and to be able to go and be of support to Stephenie when she needs us on a moment's notice. Thank you all again for donating and sharing and keeping my daughter and son in law and granddaughter in your thoughts and prayers.
For6 years Stephenie and Russell were told they were unable to have children. Stephenie suffers from PCOS  (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) an auto immune disorder that is very painful. Early this past fall, Stephenie and Russell learned they were finally pregnant and expecting their little bundle of joy in April 2019.  We have all held our breath waiting for her to pass the dangerous milestones of this journey. Once she passed 16 weeks we all began to breath a little easier. Fast forwarding to the present Stephenie is now 27 weeks, we learned several weeks back that this precious little one is a girl and she has been named Raegen Lee Olmstead and while we are all very excited to meet her it is much too soon. On Friday Stephenie went to her regular OB appointment and her Dr told her he was concerned that she was becoming preeclamptic, on Sunday night 1/20/19 she was admitted to observation in the OB department at Mid Valley Hospital on Monday she was told they needed to keep her another night and that they would need to do a 24 hour urine test as she was having protein in her urine. In Tuesday when the results came back her protein levels were very high. Her Dr decided she needed to be flown to Spokane to be able to receive a higher level of care. Russell has had to stay home to continue working as he is the only one working at this time. Today 1/23/19 Stephanie's headache and high blood pressure had returned and the Dr in Spokane told her that if they cannot get the blood pressure and headaches under control that they may have deliver Raegen even as soon as tomorrow. (Today Raegen weighs a mere 1lb 15 oz) he told Stephenie that ideally here would like to be able to keep her in there to 31 weeks but he also told her that he will most likely not let her stay in there any longer than 31 weeks as Stephenie's body is just not tolerating being pregnant. We are doing the best we can to be there for Stephenie and to get Russell over there as much as we can to be with her. We need help with traveling expenses (gas, food, lodging) to make this happen until the three of them can be a family under the same roof. We are very thankful and appreciative of any donation you can make to help us during this very difficult time. This is suppose to be such a happy and joyous time and it has turned into something much different.
Update: Raegen was delivered via C section on 1/26/19 @12:27pm weighing 2lbs 1oz and measuring 13.75 inches long... She was born at 27 weeks and 3 days gestation.
