El Primer Paso needs your help. If you are an EPP alumnus, a parent or friend of an alumnus, or just someone who cares about children receiving high quality, culturally-responsive preschool education, please donate.
After 46 years of serving the children of Dover and the surrounding area, El Primer Paso is experiencing serious financial shortages due to cuts in governmental programs. This jeopardizes our ability to continue our level of care for our children.
From its humble beginnings, El Primer Paso has strived and grown to meet the ever-changing needs of the working families in the area that we serve. Here are just a few of our most recent accomplishments:
• Added full day programming, after school care and a summer enrichment program
• Expanded and renovated its current facilities to meet the ever increasing needs of the community
• 2,000 number of children served since its inception
• 900 number of adults who have been taught English as a Second language
We have truly been "The first step" for over 2,000 children in our nearly half-century of providing dual language education. Our successes speak for themselves.
•One EPP alumnus just graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University and will be entering Cornell Law School in September.
•Another alumnus just earned her Master's of Social Work from Rutgers University.
•Another is currently a high-ranking administrator in Parsippany Troy Hills School District.
