Elmer Daniels Exoneration Expungement Benefit

Donation protected
This is a celebration of Elmer Daniels' fight to reclaim his freedom and his good name after serving 39 years in a Delaware prison for a crime he did not commit.

Elmer Daniels was convicted and went to prison in 1980 just after his 18th birthday, and was released in December 2018, the day after his 57th birthday.

Elmer maintained his innocence throughout, and last year the Attorney General finally admitted his conviction was tainted by phony scientific evidence and dismissed all the charges against him.  In July, 2019,  Elmer's conviction and arrest were totally expunged from all public records.

But Delaware is one of only 17 states that does not compensate wrongfully convicted men and women.   Elmer left prison with the clothes on his back, and did not get even an apology, let alone any compensation for the 39 years the State took from him.

With the help of his fiance, Edna, Elmer is working to reclaim his life, and  he's doing great!   This celebration is a benefit concert and party to celebrate Elmer, and raise a little cash to help him purchase a car.

The event will feature the live music of Jahiti of Brownfish, Out of Order and others, there will be food and drink. The suggested contribution for admission is $20.  Stay tuned for more details.

Thank you, we look forward to seeing you!
