ELLISON FAMILY HOUSE FIRE RELIEF FUND

https://www.facebook.com/pg/jltphotography1/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2174266495974191 On Thursday, January 17th, the Ellison family -- long time members of the Wheaton Community -- lost literally everything in a devastating house fire. 

Fortunately, all of the family members survived. Dawn Ellison was home at the time with her dog and cat, and managed to escape with the dog (sadly, Dawn's kitty did not survive).

The Ellisons are currently staying in a hotel, but they have nothing in terms of even the most basic necessities (my sister Andrea gave Dawn a winter coat just to get to the hotel in). It may be awhile before all the insurance issues are sorted out, but right now, short term financial support would go a long way toward easing the burden and stress Dawn and her husband are under.

The Ellisons have a long road ahead of them -- emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially. This is just one way you can help if you feel led, which takes the guesswork out of the equation: the family themselves will best know their own needs going forward, and may even find it difficult to convey what those are right now, so this is an efficient and foolproof way of providing immediate help. (We may change the amount later, as this story unfolds.)
