Elliot's King of Hearts Campaign

Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Elliot Knapp and I am a senior at Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, heart diseases and complications affect the American population every day. Sometimes, this happens to people very close to you. Recently, my 90 year old grandfather received news that he needed an aortic valve replacement or else he had 6 months to live. I can thankfully say he was able to get the surgery and he is now in the recovery process. In addition, my mom has undergone numerous operations to correct her irregular heartbeat she has carried with her for her entire life. Thankfully, both my mother and grandfather are both in good health and living their lives to the fullest.

Needless to say, the American Heart Association means a lot to me and my family. Every year, our school elects 12 boys from the senior class to the King of Heart's Court in order to raise money for the American Heart Association. This year I was lucky enough to be elected to this court and the fundraiser is already under way. Last year, the senior boys raised over $42,000 for the American Heart Association, and as a school we have raised $400,000 since our first contribution. This year our goal is to keep the momentum going and exceed this amount. The three boys who raise the most money will be awarded at the annual King of Hearts Dance on February 3rd. As this is an extraordinary association, please consider donating to this wonderful cause. Any donation is appreciated. If you plan on donating, please make sure your donation is given by February 1st, 2017. Thank you for your contributions! To learn more about the American Heart Association, click here .
