Ellie's England Karate Adventure

Hi, my name is Ellie Costin and I have recently been selected to represent the EKF England Youth Karate Team in Helsinki in August.
A bit about me, I have been practising Karate for about 4 years and within that time have won numerous National and International medals which have culminated in my selection to the National Youth Kata team on 29th April. I am extremely humbled to be part of the squad which is coached by two great Sensei's in James Scanlon and Chris Karwacinski.
At club level I am also very lucky that I have the full support of Yanagi Kai and my training has mostly been overseen by Sensei Ian Swain at Sale Dojo with specific Kata training by Senior England Squad representatives Sensei Kelly Horsfall and Sensei Natalie Payne. I am very lucky to have so much experience to fall back on.
The reason for the GoFundMe account is that England Karate is self funded and as such all of its athletes pay for their own travel, accommodation and entry fees to competition. While it is a huge honour to wear the England badge it can be expensive and so any donation towards the cost would be massively appreciated as this will not only help this trip but will allow finances to be freed up for other competitions later in the year and beyond to further my development and experience.

Message from Dave Costin (Ellie's Dad).......Ellie trains 10 to 12 hours a week to continue to try and perfect her technique and to keep her fitness levels as high as possible. She often stays behind after classes at the Dojo to do extra training and is a classic example of how hard work pays off.
Any help that can be offered to hit this target is massively appreciated by both Ellies mum and I.
In addition, we are also looking out for individuals or companies that would like to sponsor Ellie's career on a longer term basis. If this is something that you or your business may be interested in doing please let me know and we can discuss it further.
