Ella's Story

This is Ella's story,
I was fortunate to grow up and go to school with Ella's son, together they have been in my life for a total of 16 years. Ella became a role model a friend and most importantly she has always felt like a second Mother. Working under her wing I felt the love and warmth from her as I would my own Mom.
Ella is such a courageous, beautiful and inspiring Woman, and it pains me to see what she is going through.
On February 1st of 2018 she received the news that no one wants to hear. Cancer. From what was thought as a tiny pimple on her chin, turned into a very aggressive cancer surrounding the tissues of her chin and had spread through her Jaw.
After many tests and surgeries, a Tracheostomy was performed on July 26th 2018, which was followed by 6 long weeks of brutal radiation, 6 weeks of MSRA infection, followed by pneumonia. After all this was said and done, Ella began to feel somewhat normal and was able to get some energy back.
She was able to cut back on the massive amount of narcotics and pain medications she was taking to help her through radiation, but by mid January of this year, the pain came back.
After 4 months of many doctor appointments and new medications she finally got her doctor to do another CT scan.
Ella's Cancer is back. And it's inoperable, if the radiation and Chemotherapy doesn't work, she is being told that she may have less than a year.
The emotional, physical, and mental burden that has been placed on Ella is too much. You hear people say "This world is a cruel place." It is.
I feel the last thing she should have to worry about is finances. Her family needs to focus on taking care of her and her health. That is hard to do when bills aren't getting paid.
Any amount you can do will be greatly appreciated in this very difficult time.
Anyone who knows Ella, knows that she is a warrior, she is kind she is strong, she is fighting for her life!
