Dose of Happiness is a project aimed to help poverty stricken children within the Philippines.
A few months ago we finally chose to take the step and started planning this project that could potentially help make a difference in the lives of children in the Philippines. Research shows that more than 26 million Filipinos remain poor with almost half or a little more living in extreme poverty, lacking the means to feed themselves. In the Philippines, poverty continues to affect millions of children. This is visible in the number of young ones who wander the streets scavenging for something to eat, wear or drink.
Now if you think about it, we have been blessed with a life we should be truly grateful for but the life we live should not be what stops us from making a difference but instead it should be what pushes us to help others, and that is what I am doing today. Like the others who have helped me help others, I am asking for your help. You can contribute to a purpose that can help so many children in the Philippines who struggle just to feed themselves on a day to day basis. These children are slowly starting to lose hope at experiencing a better life and the main purpose of this project is to show them that there are people out there willing to help them, willing to provide them with basic and needed necessities that we sometimes take for granted. Together we can help give children the happiness that they deserve - even just for a day.
We have organised a gofundme page for all the donations each and every one of you are willing to give to help fund the gift packs that will contain the basic necessities such as a toiletries, as well as the food that we will be providing for the children on the day of the program. It does not matter how much you give because every cent counts.
