Ella Simone is fighting Leukemia

Four-year-old Ella Simone Newman was diagnosed with leukemia on January 31 at Kaiser Medical Center in Oakland, California. What began with occasional nosebleeds and random bruising was found to be something much more serious.
Ella’s treatment going forward will consist of 8 to 9 months of chemotherapy to be administered at home by her parents Rosie and Ari.
Ella will not be able to attend school during her treatment since the chemotherapy will likely weaken her immune system. Should she develop a cold or slight fever, she would need to be rushed to be the hospital for immediate care. Sadly, this will also mean that she and her twin brother Desmond will need to be kept apart so that she doesn’t contract anything from him. We have set up this GoFundMe page to help give the family a little breathing room as they adjust to this stressful situation and to allow Rosie and Ari time to focus on Ella’s recovery.
Ella’s two favorite things in the world are the movie Frozen and Desmond. They both have a brilliant sense of humor and are full of loving smiles.
