Eliska Latalova

Eliska Latalova was minding her own business while riding her bike on March 10th 2017 in Key West. Unfortunately, she was struck by a hit and run driver and was left helpless on the side of the road while fighting for her life. She suffered extensive injuries, which could not be treated at the local hospital. Therefore, Eli was taken by air ambulance to a nearby Trauma Center in Miami (Jackson South Community Hospital). Her injuries consisted of a fractured shoulder which required surgery, a broken nose, pneumothorax and significant scraps and cuts covering her body.

Eli is from Czech Republic visiting her boyfriend and had intentions of travelling around the United States until this traumatic event occurred. Her travel insurance is unable to cover her medical costs and Eli is not medically clear to fly back to her country of origin. This tragic hit and run incident has left her with insufficient funds to rehabilitate her injuries and return home. She remains recovering from her extensive injuries and sadly has endured medical complications in a period of convalescence.
