Elijah Buxton of Orem, Utah was diagnosed with testicular cancer in fall of 2014. Acting quickly through surgery, he and his family were able to enjoy a period of remission before receiving the news that cancer had metastasized throughout his body.
Quickly swallowing the news, Elijah has pushed forward with a powerful determination to live, traveling to Indiana to receive treatment from specialized doctors, as well as bouncing from one travel destination to another, eagerly seeing the vistas he has always wanted to. As if that does not make for a full plate, Elijah has worked tirelessly in the shadows writing and recording music. Summed up, there is a whole album of work, nearly complete and releasable. He intends to finish it.
His album is a collection of personal and honest songs that were written the last couple of years. They range from dreamy electronic to indie pop.
As the months go by, Elijah sees two things: an incredible will to live on, and the possibility that he may not have much more time. So he has brought in others to assist in finishing his work. Currently, the album is nearing the completion of the recording phase. Following that, it will be professionally mixed, mastered, and printed as a tangible piece featuring Elijah's visual artwork.
