Elias Lopez Memorial Service Fund

Elias Lopez will be remembered fondly as a compassionate, humble, and virtuous man who was deeply devoted to God and his family.  He extended kindness and friendship to everyone around him. He was so many things to so many people--a father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, shepherd, teacher, spiritual mentor and a mighty man of God.  

We were shocked when he unexpectedly had to be hospitalized the week before Christmas.  We were heartbroken that he went into a coma on Christmas Eve and devastated when he took his last breath on December 27th.  Though we are comforted in knowing that he is with our Heavenly Father we mourn the loss of his earthly presence and he will be missed so very much.  

Elias Lopez, my Dad, lived simply.  He would be the first to give what little he had to help others in need and he very rarely asked for any help.  Knowing this about him, some have asked if they could help--something for which we are deeply touched and grateful though not at all expected.  We want to give Dad a simple, dignified funeral and lay him to rest beside Mom and our sister Judy.   This fund will be used exclusively to help pay costs of a modest funeral and burial during this challenging time for the family.
