Hate Crime Victims Need Help

Donation protected
On Sunday, June 28th, 2015 after taking some time to celebrate the recent SCOTUS ruling granting gay marriage rights to all 50 states, my partner Patrick Dettling and I were waiting to catch a ride to his brother's house when we were assaulted.

We both sustained multiple injuries requiring treatment at Harborview Medical Center, where we stayed for more than five hours. Patrick sustained a concussion, broken nose and a lot of bruises and cuts. I have a broken finger that may require surgery because of its location and had most of my front left tooth knocked out.

While we are both on the mend, we are concerned about the costs associated with our recovery. We both have insurance and are worried about being able to afford the co-pays, deductibles and the costs associated with missing work and traveling to and from our doctors appointments.

We have already seen an amazing show of support from our community and the love we feel helps us recover.

Any help we can receive would be greatly appreciated.
