Who says electronics are complicated?
Using simple games and materials, learners discover what is really behind the electronic circuitry they use every day. The course builds from understanding atomic models to how electrons flow in basic circuits, to lighting bulbs and making "batteries" out of orange juice.
The course uses Snap Circuits® kits designed for children, which are as easy to apply as Legos and use common circuit icons for easy identification. Every lesson includes a hand-out with take-home exercises and a review of the course material for the day.
The funds are for one master educator kit and four sets of 5 smaller kits so the children can work in small groups with more hands-on experience with the electronics kits. This estimate includes stationery (for worksheets), sales tax, and shipping. None of these funds go to the instructor.
