Eleanor Rose : Heart Warrior

Donation protected
Meet Eleanor Rose, she is a beautiful baby who came into this world early! Eleanor was born on January 23, 2017 to Rachael and Jonathan Blaisdell. Eleanor weighed in at 4lbs 4 ozs. During Rachael's pregnancy, her Doctor's found that Eleanor's ❤️ beat was all of a sudden slow, approximately 50 to 60 BPM. A normal ❤️️ rate for an infant beats at approximately 120 to 160 BPM. The Doctors became alarmed and began testing on Eleanor, their findings were that Eleanor had Complete Heart Block. Complete Heart Block is sometimes found in babies who's mothers have Lupus. Rachael was diagnosed with Lupus in her younger years. This diagnosis for Eleanor was heart wrenching to Rachael and Jonathan, however their love and devotion to each other and to their unborn daughter was and still is unwaivering ❤️️! The Doctor's explained that when Eleanor was born she would be immediately transferred to the NICU where she would be looked after during her hospital stay and a temporary pacemaker would be placed, so that Eleanor's heart would be able to beat at a normal range. Once Eleanor gained weight and was a bit stronger she would have a surgical procedure to have a permanent pacemaker placed. Everything was going great! Eleanor was thriving, eating and gaining weight. Then on February 7, 2017, Eleanor became severely ill and was having breathing problems. The Doctors determined that Eleanor has RSV and they have placed Eleanor in a medically induced coma and placed her on a ventilator to assist In her breathing so that she is comfortable. Today Eleanor is stable and is fighting to overcome this horrible virus!! Eleanor will continue to be hospitalized until her weight is at 5 lbs, her permanent pacemaker is in place and when she recovers from RSV.

Many family and friends are asking what they can do to help the family. Rachael and Jonathan would love for everyone to send positive thoughts and say many healing prayers for Eleanor!

Monetary donations are much needed to assist Rachael and Jonathan for any out of pocket expenses, co-pays, cost of living and any other needs for Eleanor.

Unfortunately, at this time Eleanor is not able to have toys, diapers, blankets, clothes, or flowers as she is in the hospital and will be for many more days.

Rachel and Jonathan thank you for your prayers, support and understanding for their daughter during this difficult time.
