Elderly Couple in financial distress SW Oregon

Donation protected
Elderly Central Oregon couple, Jack and Dixie full-time RVers, that either volunteer to work for, or work for wages to pay for they're living spots, and travel expenses.  While pulling they’re mid-size travel trailer , up HWY 99 N in Northern California, unexpectedly experienced a complete engine failure in they’re  Ford Pickup. No warning of any kind, it just happened. the engine threw a piston out through the block and drowned the turbos in engine oil, engine and turbos a complete loss, stranding us on HWY 99 for 4 hours, until tow trucks arrived. Both pickup and travel trailer were well under the rated load and towing capacity, as we have done this for several years.
And so far, thanks to family and generous friends we have been moved to a RV park in SW Oregon, and we will be until our pickup is repaired.
We are a couple on meager SSI income, into the full time RVing to offset the high price of home ownership and rental fees, so we can make ends meet in todays world.
What is needed? The pickup is currently in a Ford garage in Sacramento, and the engine and turbos need to be replaced for around what our goal for this fund. We will be able to pay a small amount out of our own very limited resources, plus we now have the added expenses of this RV park plus utilities. Needless to say this is causing a tremendous amount of stress, and like normal retired people, we have very limited resources, and right now this is very overwhelming to us.  Our fund goal and our limited amount of resources should cover the engine and turbos replacement. This truck is part of our retired livelihood, and I'll be the first to admit we do travel around living this way, but it is by no means leisure traveling.
This is the newest truck we've ever owned, and we still owe quite a bit on it, more then you can just walk away from, so it puts us between a rock and a hard place, the engine will have to be replaced, every other component checks out ok, tranny and all drive components in great shape. The engine failure is being described as a fluke, the we no warnings, mileage not excessive, and tow load, that we normally tow well under towing rating. The Ford repair facility has done an extensive check on this, and they are also puzzled, But, the fact is, it still needs to be fixed.
At this time, I would sincerely like to thank again all those who have all ready contributed to our campaign, and all the positive comments, and also the only sort of negative one, every is entitled that, God Bless all of you.
So, if there are still people out there more blessed than we are, or has experienced this type of stressful situation and wants to help us reach our goal, all would be so gratefully appreciated. Because we are in such dire need, and this is so overwhelming, and we have to move our trailer by the 26th fo February, and time is running out, and stress is building, this aging wounded Viet-Nam Veteran is using this format only as our last resort, we didn't know whatelse to do, and we really feel terrible about it, Many thanks to those of you that are willing to help us reach our goal.
But, this is an emergency situation for us two work campers, that has truly been overwhelming, something we did not want to happen, that's for sure,
An update that we have is that we may be able to get our trailer up to a permanent
spot in Oregon.  Thanks to those who have contributed, not written in stone yet, but coming together, looks promising, fingers crossed. the second phase will be getting the truck back together, then there will be a three year warranty on everything. So, please if your still with us in your thoughts and prayers, and still willing to make contributions to our campaign to get back on our feet. We do feel real bad about having to go this route, and is very had for us to do, it makes us feel real terrible, make no doubts about it, we just want to get back to the way we work, this caught us at a real bad time, in our lives, and God Bless all those who have helped so far. see me on Facebook, trying to improve my page.
