Copacabana family house fire

On Australia Day eve, everyone was getting into holiday day mode for the next day, when my son got a call that his best mate's house was on fire.

Thank goodness everyone including the family dog Ibrah, made it out of the house. Whilst they are all ok physically, as you could imagine this a traumatic event for this family to come to terms with. Especially for Harper and Kim who were home at the time. 

Less than a month out from Christmas and 3 days before starting the new school year, this Copacabana family lost everything.
They were not insured.

Kim is a single Dad to Harper 14, Lanley 13 and Tamika his adult daughter. Kim shares equal care of Harper & Lanley with his ex-partner Racquel.

My name is Natahl Smith. I am a family friend and with the permission of Kim, the kids and Racquel (mother to Harper & Lanley), I have put together this page, hoping to raise financial support for the family.

This fire destroyed all their possessions. Kim has requested that all these funds be used primarily to replace the childrens personal possessions lost in the fire such as clothes, shoes, sporting equipment, computers,  and other needs they may have at this traumatic time.

Dependent on the amount raised though, we are hoping we can assist both the kids and Kim to eventually have enough funds to enable them to rent and furnish another home where they can once again live as a family. 

This means though having the funds to replace all other household items eg. Beds, Furniture, Household Electrical goods, Whitegoods, Linen and bedding etc. The list goes on and on.

Whilst the kids have Mum to stay with, they are currently seperated from Kim whilst he stays with friends in Sydney until such time he has the capacity to rent, furnish and set up a new home for them to live in.

Please reach out and even if it's just $1 you can spare, this will all help Kim and the kids put the pieces of their lives back together. Whilst I have set our goal at $10,000, I am hoping that together we can raise much more, so the family can begin to put their lives back together.
