Pete's Medical Expenses

In November of 2015, my father, Pete, suffered a traumatic brain injury after a fall in our garage. He was in critical condition until January of 2016, and was discharged to two different rehab centers until July. He was bedridden, and suffered respiratory and kidney failure, severe muscle atrophy, a bed sore, and many serious infections.
Because of the continuous infections, he did not receive the proper rehabilitation he seriously needed from the brain injury, and once he was discharged home in the summer, he was not progressing at his top potential. As time ran out, he was admitted into another rehab center in October, and was able to regain some of his ability to walk again. Now as of November, he has returned home, but continues to need constant care from my mother, Mary, a visiting nurse, physical, occupational and speech therapies, and a CNA. Insurance only covers a certain portion of the aid, which does not include a CNA and other medical expenses, including a wheelchair-accessible van, doctor's visits, outdoor ramp, and many other medical amenities and medications. 
Please note that your generous donations will help my family afford this constant care that my father desperately needs. In the future, we hope to continue his therapies so he will continue to gain his mobility and cognitive abilities.
