Myself, along with a few other amazing voulenteer couples, are in the process of creating/growing a horse rescue and human wellness center.
Through God inspired and led events, Ive recently been able to lease 130 acres here in beautiful Muskoka, and our Social Enterprise 5H Farm has been created!
The 5 H’s stand for Horses, Healing, Harvest, Holistic and Harmony.
Our vision is this...
The horses we rescue from former abusive/neglected situations will lovingly be nurtured and strengthened back to health, and then asked if they’d like to give back to humans through an equine healing program called FEEL - Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning ®️
This is a non-invasive ground work program that promotes growth, healing and transformation.
In this broken world we tend to suffer from feelings of being overloaded and stressed out - FEEL promotes healing, harmony and balance for your mind, sprit and soul through the horse connection.
I myself bring in the love, wisdom and strength of the Lord with each session.
True to our Social Enterprise financial model, proceeds from these sessions will go back into bettering the farm.
Now in order to responsibly rescue and care for these amazing creatures we will need to have financial stability. So above getting gracious donations from people such as yourself, we would like to offer ’Glamping’ accommodations on site - to not only make money as a Social Enterprise, but to also be able to offer further rest and relaxation to any/all people looking for it.
’Glamping’, for those of you who don’t know what it is, is simply ‘glorified camping’ in tents set up with the ‘creature comforts’ of a nice hotel room, but being in the nurturing simplicity of nature.
*****Just to clarify what a Social Enterprise is...let me explain...
With a regular business, when you buy a cup of coffee ALL the proceeds go to the owners/shareholders....profit driven....
With a Social Enterprise, the payment for that cup of coffee goes back into the company for social impact.....the money we make from Glamping will be going towards the betterment of our community via horse rescue and the growing of our community/food bank farm - another venture being done on the property as well, that has it's own GFM Campaign...
We are aiming to be self sustainable.....and then at that time, perhaps we can start paying the voulenteers/workers who make everything run....
So Glamping is a money maker, but it’s not for my own personal betterment.......I have a humble business that pays my bills, this new venture is all about bettering the community and saving horses......
Horses have always been a big part of my life, and now I’m in a position to give back to these magnificent creatures...
We currently have 4 rescue horses, and are taking the winter to help them heal in all areas of their lives, and to ‘get to know them’ better in hopes that they will enjoy being a part of the FEEL program in the summer.
In order to further this dream and initiative, I need your help......please prayerfully consider giving to our cause...our $30,000 goal will go towards setting up the ‘Glamping’ sites and infrastructures so we can make the money to start rescuing more of our equine friends - and give them a new beginning filled with love!
