Housing for Ravi - lava evacuee
Donation protected
Volcanic activity that began on May 3rd led to the evacuation of Kapoho residents, Janus & Ravi Garramone. Janus has lived in her Kapoho home for more than 40 years. They were evacuated to Pahoa which is located next to Leilani Estates. Due to continuing lava advances and air quality concerns they recently were evacuated to a vacation rental in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Beginning in late-June, they need to begin paying rent and sign a 6-month lease. This will provide them with housing until January. They desperately need our help with rental expenses. Ravi who is 17 years old, has a rare medical condition which has rendered him immobile. He requires constant nursing care. Janus is his primary care giver along with a skilled nursing team of nine.
