Help send the 2017 East Grand Rapids "We the People" Michigan state champions to Washington in April. We must raise $59,000 for our trip.
Our team studies the US Constitution and competes in congressional-style hearings on our understanding and application of the Constitution. We immersed ourselves in learning this Fall and over the holiday break, spending several evenings each week outside of school on extra work. Over the holiday break we met daily.
We placed first in our Michigan state competition and travel to Washington DC to represent Michigan at the national competition April 21-24.
We are grateful for our teacher, Adam Horos and assistant coach Alex Constantellos, who volunteer their time to lead us. They constantly challenge and inspire our achievements.
In addition to this Go Fund Me Page, we are raising money through a can drive, an auction and advertising sponsorships. Each student and family must participate.
We only have a few weeks to raise $59,000. We thank you in your advance for supporting us.
