Media reports today announcing that the Marshall Liberal Government grant of $876,400 for the new development at the rear of the club is not new funding. This has been in negotiation for the last 4 years and is not related to the storm damage suffered on Friday evening.
All repairs to the existing clubhouse will be completely funded by the City of Onkaparinga’s building insurance cover. Details and costs of this are yet to be confirmed.
The club will still be significantly out of pocket through this process as more details come to light of what items and furnishings we will need to replace. We will continue to look for support from the community to help raise funds.
Kind regards

Aldinga Bay Surf Life Saving Club was severely storm damaged by a "mini tornado" on the 6th July 2018. We are a not-for-profit Club who serve the Community by patrolling the beach at Aldinga. We are a strong club that will rebuild our Club. The building has been cordoned off and we cannot enter it due to safety concerns. Even though it is the "off season" we still need to function with training and administration tasks. Hire of equipment now needs to happen. With the Club out of action, our biggest income, being the Bar revenue will greatly affect our ability to raise much needed funds to function. Life saving is important to us and any financial assistance to assist us in achieving this goal would be appreciated. Help us to help you. Thank you.
