Seniors with disabilities need you!

This summer, seniors citizens with intellectual disabilities are to attend a new day care program sponsored by Milestone Centers, a nonprofit organization located in Pittsburgh.
But we need you to help us open the the doors!
Basic items like sturdy kitchen tables and chairs, activity tables and chairs, a Hoyer life, and even kitchenware like pots/pans, silverware, serving bowls and cooking utensils are needed. We need six sets of everything (except the Hoyer Lift) to accommodate our clients!
The day program, known as Milestone New Day Senior Center, will be a home away from home five days a week to 30 or more men and women who live with intellectual disabilities. The Center will offer an engaging environment where activities are geared toward persons age 60 and older.
The Center features spacious kitchen and activities areas, a fully-equipped kitchen to prepare healthy meals, handicapped-accessible restrooms, outdoor gardening space, and a committed full-time staff of four. It is located outside Pittsburgh in a quiet residential community.
Our neighbors are excited to have us and our seniors are aching to get in! We just need one more extra push to make the Center a reality.
