God is Good!  Cancer Sucks!  Chris Moore needs our help!

Friends, family, classmates, neighbors, acquaintances, those we’ve yet to meet:

Chris Moore is waging a battle against the evils of T-cell lymphoma…a particularly aggressive form of lymphoma. Since the beginning of 2015, Chris has been undergoing treatment and battling side effects of both the disease and the treatment.  He has been in and out of the hospital; He’s suffered from fatigue, weakness, vertigo, pneumonia, sepsis, liver failure, kidney failure and many other painful and debilitating side effects; He’s had chemotherapy, radiation, and dialysis; He’s gone into remission, had a stem cell transplant, and was sent home after 30 days of isolation to recover.  And now…incredibly…the cancer and infection have returned. Despite all of this Chris has remained driven and faithful as he battles this relentless disease.

In times like this we often ask, how can I help?  Well…

First and foremost, Chris needs our PRAYERS!

The next time you hit your knees or go to your place to be close to God, pray that our Savior lays his hands on Chris and performs a miracle as only He can…or that He provides the doctors with the knowledge and skill necessary to find the right combination of treatment and therapy to bring Chris back to full health.  Pray also for Chris’ family to find peace and support throughout this ordeal.

Secondly, this family needs our GIVING!

The physical toll of this disease has kept Chris from working for the vast majority of the year.  Wendy has been by his side all of the way.   His kids, Alex and Andrew, have been on a frequent journey between college and home to support their dad.  Overwhelming but necessary medical bills, college tuition and expenses, and even the normal costs of living can be daunting when you are unable to work and are physically and emotionally exhausted.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to be going through all of this.  I can imagine, however, the toll it takes and how hard it would be to ask for help.  So we can all show our love by helping them out now, before we are asked, by giving of both our prayers and donations.

To simplify the giving side we have set up a GoFundMe account.  Anything you can give will help ease the crushing financial burden and help Chris and family focus on what is most important…Chris getting well.

Thank you so much for your generosity and prayers!

God Bless!
