With heavy hearts we share the passing of a great man of God. Edwin Gomez Zarate lived with his wife Mayra Gomez in Livermore, CA. Together they served as pastors to the Hispanic community in Livermore, Comunidad Cristiana Jesucristo es la Respuesta. Edwin and Mayra together have played a pivotal part in the body of Christ and have devoted their lives to serving God, His people and the community.
On August 14, 2017 Edwin left to be with his Saviour and Lord. His unexpected departure has left a great void in our hearts. We may not understand the "why" however, what we do know is that God plans are perfect. He is in control and in the midst of all.
This account has been created in order to support Mayra during this difficult time. Many of you have generously reached out asking how to provide financial support. On behalf of Mayra, her family and the church, we would like to thank all of you for your support and prayers.
Message from Mayra:
"A tragic accident took the life of my beloved Husband Edwin suddenly on Monday August 14, 2017. I could never describe the love we shared. He was a lover of God, His precious word and served Him with all his heart and strength. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly. His legacy will continue, his story has not finished. I will forever be grateful to God for allowing me to meet and love such a wonderful man."
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Con mucho pesar en nuestros corazones compartimos la pérdida de un gran hombre de Dios. Edwin Gómez Zarate vivió con su esposa Mayra Gómez en la ciudad de Livermore, CA. Ellos sirvieron como pastores en la comunidad hispana de Livermore, Comunidad Cristiana Jesucristo es la Respuesta. Edwin y Mayra juntos han jugado un papel importante en el cuerpo de Cristo y han dedicado sus vidas al servicio a Dios, su pueblo y la comunidad.
El 14 de agosto de 2017, Edwin pasó a estar con su Salvador y Señor. Su inesperado fallecimiento ha dejado un gran vacío en nuestros corazones. No podemos entender el "por qué" sin embargo, lo que sí sabemos es que los planes de Dios son perfectos. Él está en control y en medio de todo.
Esta cuenta ha sido creada para apoyar a Mayra durante estos tiempos difíciles. Muchos de ustedes han llegado ofrecido apoyo y han preguntado cómo apoyar financieramente. En nombre de Mayra, su familia y la iglesia, queremos agradecerles a todos por su apoyo y oraciones.

eciosa palabra. Le sirvió con todo su corazón y fuerzas. Él fue amado por muchos y su legado continuará; su historia no ha terminado. Yo estaré eternamente agradecida con Dios por permitirme conocer y amar a un hombre tan maravilloso.”
