Started in 1992, the Geo Farm was a self-sufficient farm that promotes sustainable and eco-conscious living with a healthier way of life and was founded with the support of WWF by Edgar and his wife Yvonne Guevara.
Over the last years, Edgar Guevara has been involved in so many amazing projects from developing eco-villages with new concepts and designs including holistic healing modules such as the 7 healing gardens. He created such things as biogas and solar energy, total waste management, team building exercises, survival games, climate change solutions in different organizations, companies, and communities. Mr. Guevara was also very active in typhoon disaster awareness and preparedness to those less fortunate. One of his most recent projects involved eco-domes creation which would withstand typhoons. His ideas were advanced and ambitious. His work and enthusiasm to help others was nothing short of amazing!
He had been so busy over the recent years that he was unable to continually maintain the up-keep of his original project which was the Geo Farm. Relentless typhoons have destroyed some of the residential structures and the natural speeded growth of the flora within the farm has overgrown and is in desperate need of love and care.
As a tribute to all of his hard work and inspiration, we have decided to continue his legacy and reopen as the Geo Farm 2.0. We will rebuild the structures to their original form and glory, we will also clean and clear the lands ready for organic farming and educating the surrounding community.
In the future, the Geo Farm 2.0 will be new and improved with lodging available for people to come to the retreat for some much needed R&R and also to witness the beauty and feel the healing power of the jungle. We aim to continue Edgar’s legacy of Geo Farm together with the rest of the Guevara Family.
