Hi, my name is Eden Preis and I am a senior in high school. as a part of my Senior year requirement, i have to do an internship in my prospective field.
I am going on a medical mission to the Ifugao region in the Philippines, which is located 10 hours north of Manila.
The local residents of Ifugao have no access to basic medical care. The mission arrives once a year to provide care in various fields including Ear Nose and Throat surgery, OB-Gyn, Dental and more. Many people wait an entire year for the mission to arrive to recieve basic medical procedures.
My mission is to raise enough money to buy 250 pairs of reading glasses and dispense them to the residents of Ifugao region. This mission is a great opportunity for me to support a community that doesn't have the resources to provide for itself.
This project also means a great deal to me because my dream is to become an eye surgeon and this is an amazing opportunity to experience an aspect of eye treatment.
