Eden Nava -Valedictorian/South LA

Eden Nava is a student at Green Design STEAM Academy in South Central Los Angeles.  Although, her family household is poverty level, she understands the importance of an education.  She is Valedictorian of her class with a 4.4 GPA.  She has been accepted to UC Berkeley.  She has applied to IVY League schools and would like to attend either Yale or Princeton.  She passed the AP Calculus exam with a score of 5 her junior year and she is currently taking college calculus courses.  She is a true scholar and leader at our school.  KTLA covered her story as Eden demonstrates hard work and dedication.  Eden is determined to break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy that plagues her community.  If you would like to contribute to her future senior activities or college expenses, Eden would humbly thank you.  She is truly an inspiration to our community.  Eden is an exemplary student that has proven that dedication and desire to pursue a higher education can happen in the any community.
