Eddie's Emergency Care Fund

Donation protected
Eddie (AKA 'Sweet'  Eddie) and Rachel Camarra both rescued each other on April 17th, 2019. They instantly became loving family members and began traveling the Northeast in search of new adventures together. Eddie is an emotional support dog for Rachel, who is a graduate student studying speech language pathology, and they rarely leave each other's side. He means the absolute world to her.

On their most recent trip to Newport, RI, she noticed something was very wrong with Eddie. Unprovoked, he let out painful yelps at seemingly random times. She immediately brought him to the local vet where they were unable to determine the source of the pain. After starting him on a round of anti-inflammatory medication, he seemed to be getting better; playing with his toys like a healthy dog would.

However, in the early morning of May 31st, it became clear that Eddie was still severely suffering. In addition to yelping, he was dragging his legs as if he couldn't use them. He was promptly admitted to the emergency vet where they recommended an MRI to rule out a degenerative spinal disc disorder which would require surgery.

On behalf of Rachel, we are humbly asking for your assistance in paying for Eddie's emergency vet bills. The emergency visit alone (including the MRI) is over $3,100, and the potential surgery it estimated to total over $7,500.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated and will directly help Rachel cover the costs of Eddie's treatment.
