Ed+Al — Rescue Kittens 2019 Fund
Donation protected
Just $2 buys a can of food that feeds both of them!
Ed and Al were found by two kind souls in Brooklyn and we took them in as fosters. They were covered in fleas, had parasites in their tummies, and were afraid of people. The people who found them took them for their first vet visit and we think they are currently about 11 weeks old. They've grown so much in the month we've had them and are now lovey, snuggly, happy and clean little babies. We haven't been able to find anyone who can adopt them both and we have gotten attached. We'd like to take care of them ourselves but our incomes are poor and inconsistent and we could use your help!
This fund is to take care of Ed and Al for the next 12 months. The goal is based on how much they've cost us so far and this chart https://www.petfinder.com/pet-adoption/cat-adoption/how-much-does-a-cat-cost/. We've been able to feed them well by making cuts in our bills and personal food budgets, but we'd really like to have a fund for emergencies. We'd also like to pay for them to be microchipped and have some insurance that we can continue to feed them high quality, no grain kitten food.
Our current costs:
Food (per week) $25-40
Litter (per week) $20-30
Cleaning supplies (per week) $10
Total Weekly Costs: $55-80
Future costs:
Collars and tags: $50
Microchips: $100
Cat tower/scratcher $60
Neutering: $0-60 (we may be able to get it done for free)
EDIT: Free no longer an option, neutering will cost about $800 for both of them
Thanks for reading and please share if you can! Ed and Al (and I) appreciate it!
