Eccentric Years

Donation protected
My friend George asked me, in the middle of a conversation we were having, "Why can't you be eccentric without alot of money?"
"Without alot of money," I explained, "a guy is just plain [freaking] weird......right?"
He laughed out loud and suggested I try a GoFundMe page.
........so here I am.  As he said, "Who knows....?"

My name is Rus Miller, and I'm 58 years old. For forty plus years I've often wanted to follow my "wild hair" impulses. Couldn't afford to take the chance, tho. Had to pay the bills, had to save what I could.
Now that I'm closing in on 60, I still have to play it safe.   I'll be OK, I'm sure, but it would be nice to spend like an eccentric for awhile....
.....so I'm setting my goal at $2 Million.  Hopefully, a single philanthropist will grant my wish in one donation.
I'm completely grateful for any contribution, and I'd like to, at the very least, get my wife Bonnie to Ireland in the next year or two.
Past that, I'd be very grateful for the chance to live just a little more adventurously than my financial means have ever allowed. I've kept it clean, all my life, and I have no record, never been arrested, and I've always just kind of broke even.

I guess I'm more-or-less asking for an adventure fund, so my wife and I might have a less sedentary retirement than we've managed to 'break even' with.     ....but I have always wanted to be eccentric, too, and not just weird.

Enough to send my wife to Ireland (and maybe even bring her back) is more than I can probably hope for, but I set my goal at 2M as an eccentric bid, and who knows.....maybe my dream of being eccentric could come true as well.

What kind of eccentric things might I do?

Pay my veternarian five or ten times what he bills me.    He's a very excellent vet for my 4 dogs.
Leave very large tips-like $100 for coffee, that sort of thing.  Not often, but occassionally, just to make someone's day.
Search for lost treasure, including Forrest Fenn's gold.     Mostly as an excuse to be out in the country.
Get my wife to Ireland, her long time dream.     Yeah, I'll bring her back.  (but it's gonna count as two (2) eccentric things...)
Maybe even go with her ( a really eccentric endeavor, for me).
Lots of other things which I'll have to think of after I gain a little experience at this being eccentric thing......
Leave Forrest Fenn's Treasure right where I find it (What could be more eccentric?)
Visit an active volcanoe!        Maybe in Iceland.
Get a degree in physics and confirm my own theories on monopoles, or try to.
Buy my own laboratory 'cause I could never have a chemistry set when I was a kid. Probably not!
Build a backyard volcanoe and buy resin dinosaurs to populate the yard. Then I'd build a fence to keep the kids out!
Start assembling my 18,000 piece puzzle. I was probably only foolish to buy it, but would have to be eccentric to try to assemble it.
Buy a ticket to go into space when it becomes a commercial reality, especially if they are ever taking tourists to the moon!

So, thanks to my friend George, here I am!
As a down payment on being eccentric, I am posting this GoFundMe page, the most eccentric thing I've done to date.
Thanks for your consideration and (I hope) donation. Please help me launch my eccentric years.
