Earthquakes in Kumamoto

Donation protected
I am working on this project on the behalf of my friend Takae Fuchigami. Here is her message:

Thank you for reaching this campaign.

I am Takae Fuchigami, a citizen of Kumamoto, where one of the worst earthquake disasters in Japan occured in April, 2016. I am a self-employed Japanese language/English tutor, as well as international cultural exchange event planner. But for now I cannot, since I had to move out the place I used to live.
I myself evacuated to three different places. Our apartment is no longer good to live in. However, many other people lost much more than their own houses. They got injured, some lost their family members and uncountable number of people is losing hope to start their lives again.

First, our need was food and water to survive, now freedom from the fear of tremors (there were over 800 aftershocks in one week and there still are) and next need is a foundation to start our lives again. Maybe not the same as before, but we can work on this. We must work on this. And I would love your help.

I and my husband are planning to use the raised money to help the peple in the severely damaged area. We will take photos and update how we spend the money. Since I am a local person, it is easy for me to see what is needed here.

Kumamoto is where I was born, spent most of the time of my life and the place I love the most. It breaks my heart when I see on the media that places I used to visit are completely destroyed.

We would like to help especially:

Those who are having difficulty of living in temporary houses, evacuation centers (they are in need of lots of daily supplies)

Those who are having difficulty of restarting their self-employed business such as shops, farms, factories because their business equipments are not functioning ( they would not make their livings, unlike people who get monthly salaries)

I know how difficult it is not to get steady salary and how frustrating it is not to be able to do what they want to do in the places they love. Let's help them get back their meanings of lives!!
