About the Scholarships:
Last year our team was able to offer 2 scholarships and helped two families discover the fun and challenge of a sport they might otherwise not have access to. We are looking to double that effort this year.
All Scholarships are awarded based solely on NEED. Proof of need (a “free or reduced lunch” award from the School District) is required for a scholarship to be approved. The scholarship, along with a parent volunteer and swimmer attendance commitment, defers 70% of the EAC program cost.
All donations gathered here will only be used to fund these scholarships.
What competitive swimming offers:
-Allows kids to see quick improvement compared to other sports
-Builds self-confidence, self-esteem and focus
-Teaches time management and organization
-Helps kids learn how to compete, win and lose gracefully
-Creates an exercise for life
-Swimming is more fun, healthy, social, cool, and easier to learn than parents and kids ever imagined
Easton Aquatic Club:
EAC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, it exists to provide area children an opportunity to enhance their swimming ability through application of the latest techniques while promoting core values of education, character, leadership and competition. We compete locally, June through July, in the Penn Jersey Summer League.
