Margaret's Fund

Meet Margaret Prokop. She is a woman who is warm,  caring, loving, and passionate about her life, family, our veterans, and the American Legion family.
September 9, 2015 was a very bad day for her for on this day Margaret was diagnosed with a very agressive cancer. She has Small Cell Carcinoma of the Lung. Since the diagnoses her cancer has spread to adrenal gland, limfnodes, and has also spread to her brain. Margaret is a fighter. Through all of her treatments and pain she has always put her best foot forward donating her time and helping in anyway she was able to support our veterans and the programs of the American Legion family. Now it is our turn to help her. Because of the long battle Margaret has been enduring hers and her supporters funds have become extreamly low to nonexistent. Margaret is in need of help from each and everyone of us. She needs to pay her medical bills and begin to get all of her affairs in order for the inevitable. You see Margaret's team of doctors had to give her the undesirable news that with all the treatments and programs they put her on there just is nothing more as far as treatment they can do for her. They have not given her a time line just the speach that they are sorry they will keep her comfortable and continue to monitor her cancer but nothing else can be done as far as treatments go. With this news unfortunately it does not help with the mountains of debt she and her family curently have and are yet to consume. Every doller will count please give whatever you can. Margaret has been there for so many people so many times and now Margaret needs us to be there for her.
