Emerald Coast Cosplay Cam Upgrade
ABOUT ME and WHAT I DO:
My name is Michael, and I'm a photographer. I have enjoyed the art of photography since around 2008.
Since the start, I've shot and edited my own photos. Everything I learned, was learned online through other websites or tutorials. I would just sit on a computer and spend hours on Youtube searching for tips and tutorials on photography and editing techniques. I managed to buy my very first DSLR using my tax return from 2010, which was a Sony Alpha 330.
However, even though my old Sony camera still works as I take very good care of my electronic items, it is really beginning to show it's age.
In 2011, I started a photography business called Emerald Coast Cosplay, and I became interested and focused on Cosplay Photography. Since then, I travel around my local area and to as many sci-fi and anime conventions as I can go to in order to capture great shots of cosplayers and costumers. Maybe I shot with YOU at some point!
All of my travel expenses over the years has come out of my own pocket. Fuel, hotel stays, convention tickets, etc.
All of my shooting I've done at these conventions or locally around my area, I've done for FREE all these years. I've been offered money on many occasions for taking time out of my schedule to work with people, which I normally decline since I'm not into photography for profit, but for the creation of ART!
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I have been looking for a camera that is both compact and powerful. I'm not getting any younger, so something lightweight would be a plus, as well. I had the opportunity to demo a Sony Alpha 6000 series camera at a local Best Buy store, and I fell in love with it!
WHY YOU SHOULD DONATE:
I don't want you to feel obligated to donate, whether or not I have worked with you in the past. A few friends of mine actually suggested creating a GoFundMe for this, as it could help speed up the process of getting a camera upgrade, and I could get out there and begin using it at a convention soon! But, you should donate only if you like my work, and if you like what I do, and if you'd like to see me get a better camera and create better memories of your cosplays.
WHAT THE COST COVERS:
The goal, if reached, covers all expenses including taxes of the latest Sony Alpha 6000 series 2-lens bundle package. Any amount raised past the goal will be used toward additional accessories such as external flashes, extra batteries, memory cards, and possible additional lenses.

If you donate $5, then I will give you a 30-minute photo shoot once I get my new camera, and as long as you are within a reasonable driving range from me (within 100 miles of Crestview, FL).
This is also a cumulitive perk! Which means:
If you donate $5, you get a 30-minute photo shoot.
If you donate $10, you get a 60-minute photo shoot.
If you donate $15, you get a 90-minute photo shoot! And so on!
If you donated prior to 12/13/2016, you get an EXTRA 30 minutes of shoot time FREE! Just for taking initiative and donating early!
You do not have to use all your time at once. For example, if you donate(d) $40, you have four hours of photo shoot time built up with me. Not everyone can shoot for four straight hours in one day. So, time can be split up if desired (two hours one day and two hours another day, for example).
Once I receive the new camera, I will begin making appointments with each eligible cosplayer who donated until all perks are fulfilled.
Eligible cosplayers have the option to get the "Non-Cosplay Perk" instead of this one if they desire.
Non-cosplay perks! Oh? You don't cosplay? Or you live too far away to utilize the cosplayer perks? Aw, that's a shame. You get nothing.
Just kidding! You get something!
For every $5 you donate(d), I'll send you an 8x10 print from among our current stock.
If you donate(d) $5, you get one 8x10 print.
If you donate(d) $10, you get two 8x10 prints.
If you donate(d) $15, you get three 8x10 prints.
And so on!
If you donated prior to 12/13/2016, you will get an EXTRA 8x10 print from among our stock FREE! Just for taking initiative and donating early!
All prints will be selected at random from our current stock of prints.
This perk system ends on December 25th, 2016 or when the goal is reached, whichever comes first! So, you have until then to take advantage of these perks!
Due to demand by a small amount of people, I've been asked to keep this campaign open until AFTER the holidays, since some may be able to contribute after the dust from the holidays settle.
