Cooper Hodges

As some of you already know our sweet little Cooper is very sick. What all started with a limp and some pain in his left leg around the beginning of February, very quickly turned into weakness and paralysis of his lower body, abdomen, hands, and partial chest in 2 days. Cooper was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Birmingham on February 19, from ECM hospital. After spending almost a month in the PICU and having many tests, labs, procedures, a biopsy and multiple MRI scans, Coopers awesome medical team was able to make an official diagnosis of a malignant spinal cord tumor. After weeks of praying for answers, this was most definitely not the answer we wanted to hear. But God has a plan for our Cooper, and we trust him fully! Cooper started radiation and chemo on March 24th, and he will continue both these treatments for 5 weeks. So many of you have been praying for Cooper, and those prayers have been felt!!! Cooper was already improving even before the cancer treatments were started!!! Amazing! God has his healing hand right on Cooper! If you are reading this, please stop and say a prayer for our Cooper....for healing, for strength to fight this battle and for comfort. We are laying this in God's hands, he is the ultimate physician!!!

This account was set up by friends to support the Hodges family during their stay in Birmingham.  We ask for donations to relieve the financial stress of having to be two hours from home so they can concentrate on helping Cooper fight these health issues.  Thank you for your continued prayers!!
