SAVE the " Sanctuary Shelter"

The VLC Sanctuary emergency shelter first started providing a safe place for anyone in need of shelter in August 2009, when through private lenders a small group of dedicated people saw a need and stepped out in faith to fill a void. Since that initial date, the shelter located in Owen Sound, Ontario and being the only one in its area, has provided a bed over 11000 times to hundreds people from all walks of life. All genders, ages, ethnic groups and religions affilaitions and from all kinds of situations. As well as a peaceful and safe sleep, the VLC family provides support, security and most of all friendship to a hurting society.

Without any formal financial support base, the VLC Sanctuary Emergency shelter has relied on the sacrificial hearts of its volunteers and the generous hearts and financial support from other agencies involved in homeless prevention. Sadly these support venues often leave the basic financial needs short and proper operation impracticle.

Now facing an issue of major porprtion where mortgage holders want paid out and are threatening foreclosure.  This campaign is with the hope that togther we can pay these obligations out, leaving this invaluable service alive for years to come to the hurting and hopeless with our society. This service that has not only provided safe shelter at times of needs but moreso, positive life changing relationships.
