Sponsor My Dancing Dream

Hi, my name is Chloe, I was born in West Yorkshire and I must say that I'm a dreamer, a believer and a fighter! I am 18 years old and ever since taking my first ever dance lesson at the age of 3 at Strickland Cook Theatre School, I have fallen in love with dance as my lifestyle and embraced it as my passion. It has been my ultimate ambition to be a performer since my first ever dance lesson, and nothing will change that.

My dream is to move down to London and pursue three intense years of training at Dance College but unfortunately the colleges and courses I am applying for are Vocational schools which means that I am not eligible for funding by the government for tuition fees. I am currently in the process of auditioning for dance schools in London and will hopefully gain a scholarship to help pay the course fees. But I still need funding for my travelling, my lodging and dance attire as well as my audition fees. Therefore I want to do everything I can to raise money and this year I am organising and planning different fundraising events to help me chase my dream of becoming a professional performer. I would love in the future to be able to perform on the West End, tour with companies and work on cruise ships and much much more.

I am very lucky to have a very supporting family, good friends and two very supportive dance teachers who motivate me to achieve and inspire others and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without them.

Over the years I have had many achievements in dance, such as;

- Receiving IDTA modern, ballet and tap scholarships every year since 2009 and achieved special commendations in all areas.
- Representing the IDTA in the TDCI Senior Modern Master class in Blackpool.
- Qualifying for Miss Dance 2013, 2014 and 2015. This year I gained a place in the Grand Final where only 6 girls are lucky enough to reach this stage.
- I have played principle roles in pantomimes and shows such as ‘Slave of the Ring’ in the Huddersfield Light Opera Companies pantomime of Aladdin in 2014, ‘Liesel ‘ in their production of The Sound of Music 2014 and have been asked to play ‘Dream a Day Jill’ (the Princess) in their upcoming pantomime of Jack and the Beanstalk 2015.
- I have been a Louise Browne York Ballet Scholar for the last 5 years.
- I performed in the English Youth Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker.
- I hold many regional championship titles in Modern, Song and Dance, Ballet and Tap.
- I received the highest mark in my region for my Grade 7 singing exam this year and was asked to perform at the Queen Elizabeth school as a representative.
- This year in the Mrs Sunderland Festival in the 17+ Musical Theatre age category I received 2nd place and it was my first year taking part.
- Since the age of 5 I have won many trophies and medals in regional dance festivals.
- Over the years I have performed in many charity events for different causes and attend many workshops and attended different summer schools at performing arts colleges.

I am currently in my last year of Sixth form and I am studying Photography, PE and Media. I help out at my dance school helping my dance teachers with the younger pupils and in any spare time I have I do a range of casual work.  I am going to do everything I can to save and raise money to help me to fulfil my dreams, therefore I would be extremely grateful for any help and donations.

Thank you for taking time to read this,
