Dzenita Shaves for Marko's Smile

My friends Jelena & Andrija and have a beautiful family of 5.
They have 3 sons, Petar, Aleksa & Marko.
Marko, the youngest of the 3 boys is a beautiful, cheeky, clever two year old who’s recently been diagnosed with life threatening cancer.
Marko has high risk neuroblastoma. It is an aggressive tumor which almost exclusively attacks children under five.
With current treatment available in Australia, he only has about 50% chance of survival. However, medical researchers at the Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital in New York, USA have developed a vaccine which to date has shown incredible results at preventing this cancer from relapsing.
Unfortunately, treatment is still only available as a clinical trial, and only at this particular institution. This vaccine is the one chance to save Marko’s life.
As international patients, Marko's family are not eligible for health insurance in the US, and were shocked to discover that medical expenses associated with the trial are in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. It is estimated that his family would need around AU$350,000 to enable Marko to participate in the trial. This amount covers both medical expenses, as well as the costs associated with having to spend considerable time in the US for the duration of the trial (year-long treatment) and travel back and forth from Melbourne to NY during this time period.
I have decided to shave my head to keep that smile on little Marko's face, and to help give him the opportunity to live a long, happy and healthy life with his amazing family!
Marko, we love you and you are one strong little boy. We can get through this all together!
