Dylan's FC Barcelona Journey

Our son, Dylan Williamson, was recently chosen by coaches from one of the world’s best known soccer clubs, FC Barcelona, to be a member of the Barcelona All-Star Squad in Barcelona, Spain October 21-30.
In early June, Dylan attended a soccer camp in Tulsa, OK hosted by coaches from Barcelona. During the camp, players were evaluated daily and scored based on their skills and FC Barcelona values: Humility, Respect, Effort, Ambition and Team Work. The Tulsa camp was one of 31 camps held across the United States with over 5,000 campers in attendance. Less than 10% of the campers ranging in age from 6-18 years were hand selected for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
While in Barcelona, Dylan will have the opportunity to represent U.S. soccer while playing against top soccer clubs from Spain. He will train at the exclusive FC Barcelona headquarters and engage in a full agenda of unique and valuable soccer and cultural activities.
To help with the upfront costs of the travel and training, Dylan will be participating in various fundraisers over the summer such as car washes and candy bar sales. Any donated funds in excess of the cost of the trip will be donated to our local Community Food Bank.
