Dylan Henderson was an incredible child, and a deep loss to a community that welcomed him, and helped him as he worked through trauma and mental illness.
He had a habit of bringing out his best, while dealing with his own worst feelings and fears.
For four years, and three before, The Henderson-Guthrie family has steadfastly put so much into Dylan's treatment, through hospitalizations and intensive therapy to help a son find peace with himself, and a way to allow his unique and wonderful personality shine.
His last year saw four hospitalizations and much therapy in the attempt to overcome PTSD and what were indications of a Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Through that, Dylan continued to touch lives, and despite the symptoms, in a growing and positive way.
The Dylan Henderson Memorial, by the request of friends and family, is now opened to defray end costs of treatment and funeral expenses.
Goal/Expense overages will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), to continue efforts to reach children, research, and heal mental illness.
At this time (May 19, 2017), this Memorial will be open for 30 days.
