i hate that it’s had to come to this, but i need help.
on monday june 24th, i got a call from my supervisor on my way to work letting me know that i am terminated. i had no warning, and was even told a few days prior that i was doing good, but i became an “ill fit” overnight with no explanation.
i have been miserable living in chicago for a long time and took this loss as an opportunity to be done with scraping by just to survive in a city ive never been happy in and move to a small town where being content with my life seems more realistic.
although i feel less out of place here in morris, over the past two weeks ive lost count of how many jobs ive applied to that i have yet to get a bite from.
my previous job terminated me in the middle of the pay period and my check was half of what i usually receive- not even close to enough to cover my rent, when the pay was already so low i could barely make it with a full one . and so, i will be going over $300 negative in just a few days when my ex landlord finally takes the check out of my account.
ive been trying to look at this all as positively as i can but yesterday it all got worse.
i got in an accident on my way back from chicago to grab some things and completely totaled my car. my only method of transportation. i made it out with a scrape on my arm but the entirety front of my car is destroyed. my dad says it may not be fixable but if it is, it’s going to be expensive and lengthy. i might just have to save up for a different, cheaper car someday when my poor baby was only three years old, and completely paid off with money i received from the settlement of me getting hit by a drunk driver when i was eighteen.
through everything, i thought “at least i have my car”
but now i can’t make the drive to whatever work i find out here. i will have to find something in very close distance and the pay might be the lowest ive had in years. it is what it is, i guess. but it might not completely cut it.
with saying that i just want to be able to keep my bank account open and not in the negatives so i can keep my phone on so i can keep in contact with my family and friends. so i don’t get charged $36 a day and end up having an account that’s completely unable to be saved. so that through it all- at least i don’t have this to worry about too.
anything helps. i would be eternally grateful and even pay you back when i someday have the money to if you need or even just want it back. it just might be a while.
