HEARTLAND PET WELFARE, INC. is a not-for-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to finding loving, fur-ever homes for cats and kittens. As space and donations allow, we accept homeless, abandoned and injured cats. We provide them with immediate veterinary care. HPW strives to create an environment which embraces and increases the awareness and support for humane treatment of all animals.
HEARTLAND was founded in 1999 by a small group of animal lovers who continue to give their time and hearts for this great cause.
HEARTLAND gives through "hands on" and financial support. We are only funded by private/business donations, grants (when available) and fundraisers.
