Duke Street Defibrillator
Donation protected
From March 2018, Windsor and Eton Brewery are aiming to raise £1,600 to install a defibrillator on the corner of Duke Street and the brewery - which would give all local residents within 5 minutes' walk of the brewery, free access to potentially lifesaving equipment.
A few key facts:
30,000 people die each year from cardiac arrests
If someone suffers a cardiac arrest and receives no help, other than that from an ambulance – your chance of survival is 8%
If some can provide CPR until an ambulance arrives, chance of survival can rise to around 25%
If someone is able to use a defibrillator within 5 minutes of a cardiac arrest, chance of survival rises to 75-80%
