Duggan Family Medical Fund

This is the Duggan Family. The father Jacob has Cushings Disease which means he has a brain tumor that produces massive amounts of cortisol and causes weight gain, high blood pressure, severe fatigue and muscle weakness, among other symptoms. The tumor is scheduled to be removed on July 12th, 2016 and Jacob will have to be out of work to recover for at least 2 months if not longer. He is the only provider for his beautiful family of five with his youngest about to turn 1-year-old next month. With his work there isn't an option for him to get disability so they need any support and help they can get. They also need assistance with their mounting medical expenses. I've known McKenzie and Jacob for a long time now and they are some of the best people and wonderful parents to their children. They are always ready and willing to help anyone so I'm hoping this provides a way for them to receive the support they need and deserve.

Next week, Jake will have surgery to have his tumor removed. We will be at Emory for a week. He will be out of work for 8 weeks or more. This is going to be so hard for him, because as I've already said, my man likes to be active and doing SOMETHING. We are so ready for him to feel better but the recovery process is going to be extremely trying for us.

Please research this disease. Some people mistake it for obesity or old age. It's a hormone disease and affects every bit of your body.

Jacob is 26 but feels 60.
