Nitasha Bennett Family Fund

Our story seems almost like something you may read, or a touching movie. Inspiration is the theme behind our story. Nitasha Bennett and I of course, had humble beginnings. Our mother is a disabled veteran and fathers were unknown. We still were blessed to be taken in by our aunt. The dynamic of our family relationship went from aunt to mom, cousins into brother and sister. All together there were five of us. Nitasha was the youngest. Our little princess, or little lady is what we called her and is how she was viewed by the family. Nitasha to say the least was spoiled by all of us with love. That love was reciprocated by her devoting her life to nursing. She touched so many people and helped so many families with the passing of their loved ones. Death was not held in any way by Nitasha in a negative manner. She simply understood it as life. I recognize that this is why she truly embraced making the best of every sec of her life. Nitasha also instilled her love into her three children. Her oldest is Nejah age 10, second is Khalil who is 9, and there is what we call her "mini me" Zoie age 5. Of course as life is, their father is unable to be a part of their lives. The “no brainer" here for me was to fill in the blanks with my nieces and nephew. Referred to sometimes as "uncle daddy" we make sure that they always have support. Now my nieces and nephew are son and daughters in my eyes. Nitasha passed away Wednesday December 2, 2015. She was sitting in the back seat of her best friend’s car at a red light; when they were struck in the rear by a drunk driver. She was 28 years old. I Daniel Bennett promise to always love, cherish, protect, and lead my new children to live a very positive, peaceful, and happy life. We ask for any help with funeral arrangements and also Christmas this year for her three children. Thank you to whom it all may concern.
