I asked Laurie Morgan to set up this account for the individuals affected by the fire in downtown Dubois Wy..... the funds collected will be given to a non profit in dubois called NOD to be distributed to the victims as need. Sorry for any misunderstanding. I live in Dubois and am in contact with several members of the community who will benefit from any donations. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO .....GOD BLESS

DESCRIPTION OF EVENT:

Major building fire in downtown Dubois tonight. Volunteer fire fighters braved -20 temps to save adjoining businesses.  "We're probably losing one whole side of downtown" - Dubois Mayor Twila Blakeman. (Dubois, Wyo.) – A fire has ripped through at least two stores in downtown Dubois this evening. Dubois Mayor Twila Blakeman informed County10 that the first she heard of the fire was around 7 p.m. this evening.

“We’re probably losing one whole side of downtown,” she said.

Blakeman said the fire appeared to have started somewhere in the Mart, a group of small businesses. At least two buildings have reportedly caught fire, and Blakeman said firefighters are trying their hardest to keep it from spreading further. Kinnear, Crowheart and Riverton firefighters have joined in the battle.

“It’s cold and hard for them to fight,” Blakeman said, adding that the water seems to be turning to ice the second it hits the ground.

So far she has heard of no injuries to anyone. She asked the public to stay back at let the firefighters do their job.

PLEASE take the time to help these people and the town to renew the town back to what it was.  The sadness and pain everyone is going through from this tradegy any help would be greatly appreciated for them.

Please those who help, please those who share this link and pass along to touch hearts of others to possibly help and donate.

Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and help.  God Bless

Dubois fire relief update: NOD has expended approximately two-thirds of fire relief donations, which included a transfer to the St. Thomas Outreach Fund for fire relief. Payments to service providers include landlords, grocery stores, utility companies, medical treatment facilities, fuel providers, and a few others. Some payments have also been made for business close out and business re-establishment.

A special 'tip of the hat' to all the generous donors who have helped people in Dubois get back on their feet!

Carri Dawn: Gofundme takes 5% to pay for their costs of running the website, and the processing fee for credit/debit card donations is approximately 2%. So NOD is getting 100% of the money received, after these fees.

Why are you keeping 7% out of the donations? People are giving assuming 100% goes to the NOD.? Please give a solid reason !
